Great SnapRJW 2013-12-14 2:45

Hello Subho - What a fascinating shot where for the most part the buildings blend in colour-wise with the surrounding rocky landscape. The touches of red and gold tell us that we are looking at a Buddhist Monastery. I love the details in the landscape, the scree slopes and rocky outcrops are harsh but beautiful. This looks to be a remote place and one worth visiting, do you live in this area?

Warm regards Rosemary

Default To SnapRJW: I wish I stayed there!

Hello Rosemary,
Thanks for your comments on this photo.

No, I don't stay there. Ladakh is the northern most part of India. I stay in Kolkata or Calcutta ( as the world knows this city) which is on the eastern part of India.
I had gone for a tour of Ladkah with my family for about 3 weeks or do.

This is indeed a fascinating place, you may try to visit it once. Being an Indian before my visit to this place I did not know that such a diverse and ruggedly beautiful place exists in India.

Regards,
Subho
