Great subhendu_bagchi 2013-09-19 12:07

hi Alekhya,
another nice shot. This time night photography, which is really tough. As 'the man with good will' said that it is very very good according to image quality but it needed more 'punch' in composition. Your temporary home is very well exposed, nice textures of tree branches there, but something is missing there. Overall I enjoyed this image with such blue sky of noon-lit night . Thanks for sharing. Did you capture any night shot of river Jayanti with those pebbles beside it with a backdrop of dense treeline. I can feel it. Though I have no such photos in my archive. If you have one, please share it here.
Bhalo theko (anyway, tumi ki bangali? Please, Don't mind my question).

Default To subhendu_bagchi: Thank you

Hello Subhendu,
I am relieved that you and other reviewers have liked this entry. This was my first attempt at night photography.
I have realized that human presence in a photo adds life to the composition (@Goodwill has endorsed it). I feel ‘that life’ was required in this image. But after dinner, my co-travelers were busy otherwise and they were not ready to ‘pose’ for me. However, I had a non-human in another try.

Of course I tried to shoot the mesmerizing ambience of Jayanti river at night. But it has been a mess. I could not manage the exposure at all as I did not understand where to or how to focus in that darkness.

(Bhalo nei. Family te serious (medical) problem cholchhe. Very much disturbed.)
You may note, all my entries are old (before July,’13) and I did not touch the camera for a long time. I am just trying to keep in touch with my hobby through TE and hoping that your views and guidelines will be of great help when I'll again carry the camera bag.

(Ki ashcharya! Shudhu ami noy, amar gota paribar bangali).

With best wishes,

Alekhya
