Great delpeoples 2012-05-01 18:04

Hi Noel

I absolutely adore your photo. It's so classic and so obviously Irish. There could be no mistake that this is any other country in the world. The low POV is great and you've created a really spooky atmosphere. I would probably have ramped up the contrast a bit, but lookng at your photos, they always seem realy natural, so maybe you're not into that? Anyway, the photo is very emotive and immediately brought to mind those old litograph engravings you see around old bookstores. So I hope you don't mind me doing a Workshop, in fact 2 - one which gives it an antique look, the other where I've just increased contrast. Hope that's OK.

Cheers, this one goes straight into my Best of Ireland Theme

Default To delpeoples: Thank you :)

hi Lisa,
Thanks a million for your kind words, I really appreciate it. And thanks indeed for choosing one of my pics to do a workshop, I am genuinely honoured!

My fave of the two you have done is the silver effect one, which really makes it feel like its a hundred year old photo. I see what you mean about increasing contrast too, on both shots, it does indeed add something to the shots.

I looked at the workshops, but I cant see anywhere I could post these comments (Still quite new to the site, so dont know if I can actually comment on your workshops) but wonderfully done, both of them.

Thank you again, I look forward to admiring more of your work, and of course, learning from it too.
Best wishes from a sunny and warm Ireland

Cheers
Noel
