Great PecoBud 2012-04-26 8:45

Sweet photo Karen, were you taking the panoramic trail hike? Wonderful 12 mile hike that will take you to Nevada falls and then Vernal falls below. Excellent hike, but requires two cars, or a heck of a lot of hiking........LOL

Excellent capture from Glacier Point, one of the best places to take beautiful photo's just like this. Wonderful DOF and POV with great clarity and superb light management. I really wanted to go this weekend to Yosemite, but I have to babysit my granddaughter, which I have no problems doing, but would like her to be a bit older so I can take her hiking to beautiful places like this. Great Job Karen!!

Default To PecoBud: thanks for critique

Hello Buddy, thank you so much for the critique of my Yosemite photo. You are right in that it was taken from the Panoramic Trail. I was so lucky that the trail was open now in April. I took the bus from the lodge. It costs $25 for a one way ticket. Then I hiked down. There is not much snow in the Sierras. The bus driver said that this is the first year in 20 that the Glacier Point road has been open in the monthe of April. Usually there is so much snow at the end of May when it opens that this view is covered with snow all around. It was fun but exhausting. When I started down the stairs at Nevada Falls I thought of your photo. You captured the light well that day. It was too sunny when I was there.
Have a great day,
your friend from California,
Karen
