Hello Brenda,
Complemented by an informative note, this is an excellent shot. I like the manner in which the man is tucked away in the corner, preoccupied with his cell phone. Exaggerating pool of water is unusual and effective. Your note sheds some light on a perennial question, why there is no fourth avenue, but I also had another question. Why does Fifth Avenue run along Central Park, and not Park Avenue?
Warm regards,
Bulent

Thanks for stopping by. Regarding some of the NYC streets, there actually still is a Fourth Avenue, but there is only a small section that runs below 14th Street, as opposed to the early 1800's Fourth Avenue that ran all the way up to East Harlem. I guess there could only be one Park Avenue, so the grassy, wide street got the moniker. As you probably know, Fifth Avenue is synonymously called Central Park East along the blocks that it borders the park.Have a great evening, Brenda |
