Hi John
I know what you mean about posting something because you want it in your Gallery and it interests you. Go fot it, that's what TE's all about - not pristine, (and often soul less) photos day after day.
So you forgot your recent pressie to yourself, the 17-40mmm? How could you? ;) Anyway, I think the lens you've got here is quite sufficient and does the job. Sure, it's not the most dynamic of your photos, but I like the subject alot and especially like the light and shadows. I think this one would have been a shot for Craig and his new software. He'd love all those textures and the bright green moss etc. Anyway, you exposed it well, the colours are still there in the sky and in the trees. Nice work and I'm glad to see it in your Gallery.
Thanks for sharing, have a good weekend
Lisa

It's far from being my best shot but, as I said, I just wanted a picture of this place "in the bag" as I thought the story about it was quite amusing. Gosh, can you imagine in this day and age ladies being prevented from looking directly upon Nature because it might upset their delicate psyches? I can only presume that these thoughts were generated in the minds of the menfolk and I just have naughty ideas in my mind of these "delicate" ladies acting a bit à la Lady Chatterley - deemed too delicate to look upon a waterfall but, when Sir's back is turned, having a wild old romp in the hay with the local gardener! But I've got a dirty mind. You have a good weekend too, Lisa. Kindest Regards, John. |

Heheheh oh yeah you's a bad man alright!
![]() I love the story behind the photo. Whilst not a fan of Lady Chatterley at all, I still can't get the famous "swing scene" out of my head. How those British people could liken that to sex - and ban the book because of it - is beyond me. So the idea behind stopping those poor delicate ladies looking directly at the power and thrust of a waterfall makes a weird kind of sense. With attitudes like that, I think you're right, a romp in the hay with some "rough" absolutely not out of the question. Have a lovely weekend Lisa |
