Great photoray 2011-10-10 16:40

Howdy Bulent,

Like everyone else a fine panoramic view of one of earth's greatest art cities. Rome, Florence, and the Appian Way are my top three Italian 'Valhalla List' places to visit.

I remember from a Roman history class, the David statue outside is a replica, yet most tourists believe it is Michelangelo's original. The original is inside the museum.

And thanks for the informative note,
congratulations, and keep up the fine visions,
Ray

Default To photoray: Panorama of Florence

Hi Ray,

Thanks for the note. In Florence there are actually three Michelangelo "Davids." The original is in the Museum called the Galleria dell'Academia. There is a copy standing outside the Ufizzi and Palazzo Vecchio, I think that's the one you mean. The second copy stands at the Piazzale Michelangelo, about 20 yards behind where I stood to take this panoramic shot.

Many thanks,

Bulent
