Great tyro 2011-07-07 15:02

Hello Richard,

First and foremost, I must address the postscript of your note. I shall, therefore, refer you to the Scriptures. Be aware of Isaiah Ch 55 vv 8-9:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
"For as the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

So, Richard, I think that pretty much puts you in your place. Don't argue. But take comfort and Nunquam illigitimi carborundum!

To your photograph and the rest of your note:

This is a beautiful shot: wonderful depth of field with that small aperture (f/11 - that's almost unknown for you) - even the foregound gate is in sharp focus. The gate, I think, really makes this picture, its top rail running parallel with the distant edge of the red poppy field The colours are wonderful, the exposure spot-on and the clarity and sharpness perfect.

Fabulous!

Kind Regards,

John.

P.S. Acts Ch 9 v 5: "..it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks."

Default Holy Scripture.............

Hi Richard,

Actually, although you have just read this, I have actually just added a P.S. - this time a quote from Acts. My guess is that my critique will probably be deleted - let's see! So far, I've been a law-abiding citizen here. Nothing wrong with quoting the Good Book is there?

Yes, Richard, I am well. Are you? I hope so. We really must have another "meet" again sometime - that one last month was wonderful. I see that Malgo's off again on another adventure - she must have very itchy feet!

Best Wishes and Take Care,

John.
