I agree with you and Ann - this attire seems almost universal for ladies in this age group, especially in countries such as Spain, Greece and so on. I seem to recall that it was also the case here in Britain, my grandmothers both often appearing to dress like this if I recall correctly. However, elderly ladies now appear to dress here in clothes which less resemble those of mourners and usually invest in more supportive upper undergarments!

Junkmail is the scourge of modern times and I'm sure this poor lady resents it as much as I do. At least she appears to be ignoring it - gone are the days when we would fly to the letterbox to find out what exciting mail we had received today.
