Great bmukherjee 2010-09-08 18:31

Hi Patrice,

A very different scenery! This reminds me of a really good music video by Sigur Ros, for the song Glosoli. Really, the icelandic landscape is very much like their music :)

cheers,
biswaroop

Default To bmukherjee: The song Glosoli by Sigur Ros

Hi Biswaroop,
Thanks for your comment
Sigur Ros (and Jonsi) are one of my favorite singer
I know this song and music video of course and i like it very much
Do you know too "Hoppípolla" ?
During my trip in Iceland, my favourite CD album in the car was "Go" by Jonsi
An incredible singer for incredible landscapes...
Best regards
Patrice

Hi Patrice,

Oh yes - I know Hoppipolla! Takk is one of their best albums, along with Agaetis Byrjun. Go is also a favorite - it's wonderful how Jonsi is creating new types of music all the time (unlike these other pop artists that churn out the same rubbish). Personally, my favorites are Kolnidur and Sinking Friendships from Go.

But, still, I prefer his old work - with those landscape-like olsen olsen and Untitled #2 songs. It's almost as if those are meant for us landscape photographers

Well said: indeed an incredible singer for incredible landscapes. After watching his movie Heima, I started thinking if a similar thing would be possible for Indian landscapes - but that would be a cinematic project, not for me. Still, I will probably search for landscape-like Indian music for my photo slideshows...

cheers,
biswaroop
