Contacting members

The email alerts to replies to critiques continue not working.
Thus, I've been contacting some members, telling them that I posted a reply.
After my last message to a member I saw this:

You have already contacted 5 members today. Please try again later.

I didn't noticed the previous ones, therefore now I don't know which really received my messages.
And I have often more that 5 members to send reply alerts per day!
It's a pity that the previous critique reply alerts are not working anymore. And I can't even contact all the members I need to.

In regards to the 5 members per given time issue, are you emailing them or sending by PM?

If PM works, then emails should work because Tech said they haven't touched anything.

I don't understand your question.
I go to a member's Overview page, for example: http://www.trekearth.com/members/Didi/
I click "Contact" (http://www.trekearth.com/contact.php?recid=1107), opening the page with this text and a box:

To: Didi (Didi Massoud)
From: xuaxo [Your email address will be displayed in message]
Subject:
Message:
(5000 characters max.)

After clicking "Submit" now I'm getting a page with the message:

Contact
You have already contacted 5 members today. Please try again later.

I never noticed this before, and I don't remember reading about a "5 members" contacting limit.

For such problems and bugs please write in this forum feedback and support.

Sorry for mistaking the forums. I'm not sure it is a problem or a feature. OK, in any case I'm giving feedback.

I have make the test by sending 6 messages thru the members account contact link
In the 6th one I recieved HTML Page : You have sent 5 messages for this day : please try later.
That's not a bug : It's an old rule created by Adam.

Ok, it seems to be a rule from the time when the critique reply alerts were working, which is not the case now. (Back to my complain on the first message of this thread )

Dont' worry, this is normal; We are not able to send more than 5 messages thru the the account member page contact link in the same day.
This is an old rule created by Adam Silverman TE Creator.

Thanks for testing Didi!

If this was an old rule created by Adam , then we will not be fixing this . He probably created it to avoid spamming. We are attempting to keep all site functionality the same as what we had before.
