Great nwoehnl 2009-06-16 3:39

こんにちは Hisashi. A fine deep perspective along this lineup of jizo statues, well contrasted and vividly colorful. A beautiful introduction to this piece of Japanese culture, well captured.

And, finally, a humble "thank you" for putting a link to my photo :)

As a workshop, and as a present for you, I will post a photo that I took two months ago of these jizo statues at the same location. Sorry for the small size, I don't have a bigger one available at the moment.

Default To nwoehnl: jizo statues

Hello Norbert,

Thank you for looking and also for your much appreciated comment and workshop.

These statues are dedicated for the late children at a tender age or before. I took this shot reducing exposure a little with a respect by equal height to the ojizo-sama. Mind taking good care of children in heaven is put wholeheartedly in these statues.

Best wishes Hisashi
