Default Isle of Skye - some advice

Hi,

am planning a short trip (8 days) to Isle of Skye this April. Main interest is landscape photo.
I know the island is pretty big, so what I'm looking for is some kind of advice of places to stay overnight that would allow quick access to good locations for sunrise/sunset shots. I'll have a car available, but since I won't have so much time on my hands, I'm thinking to prepare in advance :)
So any advice is greatly appreciated

many thanks

I have been once in Skye. The island is not no big, but roads are narrow and windy, so low speed and long travel. Look at pictures on TE and check on the map where they have been taken. Try to be lucky for sunset or sunrise because the weather is changing fast! I personnaly liked the entrance of the island (Eilean Donnan castle) and a famous rock called "the Storr". B&B is a convenient way for visiting everyday a new area.
Good luck, and see soon the result on TE

As per clodo, Skye is not so big. First you select the place which is more famous & then decide the time scheduled because by the time of trip you should always prepare a time scheduled by saving your time.

Hey
I really Enjoyed Isle of skye.
If the weather is good enough, try to go to Elgol (small village on the west coast), there is a beautiful view of Cuillins Mountains.

And don't miss the Quiraing (North-East), stunning !!
