Great robiuk 2008-07-15 15:17

A really interesting shot, Bulent, and as much interesting
accompanying note!
I like the tones in your photo and the way you caught
this little girl's pose revealing her utter interest in
this Dali's work.
I've read your Intro, quickly had a look at the first
page of your gallery (thumbnails) and immediately decided
to include you on my list of my favourite members, so I
can follow your every post.
;-D
Cheers,
Robi

Default To robiuk: Dali and the Doll...

Hello Robi,

Thanks for the gracious note. I'm flattered to be included among your favorites, specially since you are a very good photographer. Some of your image are absolutely first rate, and I intend to follow your posts. I will be away giving lectures on a cruise during August, but should be back to submit more images upon my return.

Warm regards,

Bulent

Thank you for your kind words, Bulent!
Lectures on a cruise - that sounds interesting. I've never been on a cruise - what kind of lecturing are you going to be giving?
I'm spending the whole July & August at home, but heading for Spain & Portugal in September... nothing business-related, just a holiday.
Cheers,
Robi

Hello Robi,

I have passions for the sciences and the arts my doctorate is in theoretical physics, but I also write and publish on art and archaeology. I'll speak about "universal geneius," Leonardo" about whom I have now completed two books. I'll also speak about the flooding of the Mediterranean, and eventually the Black Sea. The latter appears to underly the Biblical stories of the 'Universal Flood,' and Noah's Ark. On an academic salary, my wife and I could never afford annual cruises. It's a working vacation for me, and the cruise lines are happy to have me as their floating scholar.

Warm regards,

Bulent

Well, I'm sure they are, Bulent, as you sound like a person of knowledge and passion, always hungry for learning new things and sharing the same with others.
I can already picture the cruise audience listening to your lectures with awe and finishing off with a standing ovation!
Absolutely fantastic!
I wish you and your dear darling wife have the most enjoyable time on calm waters of big seas!
Cheers,
Robi
