Default APN and low temperature

I am going to Montreal this week and I was wondering about my D70 used
with low temperature. I do not know what are currently the temperature (probably between -10 and -20 degres) but do you think that we have to
think about any special action to protect the APN?
Many thanks.
Alexandre

Default Re: APN and low temperature

I think that there can be problem with icing shutter so try to carry your camera in bag and produce it only for shooting.
Other problem is with misting. When you go from cold environment to hot (or simple temperatured) environment, ypur camera goes misting so much. There can be problem on only with optics (misted lens) but with all camera -> misting on CCD could cause "patches" on it, misting on electrical contact could cause corroding. So when you go from cold to hot try to but camera to bag BEFORE you reach hot env. so it temperate slower and do not mist.
