not 100% sure at this time as everything depends on flight availability but i would like to go to Brazil next week (either that or cambodia). I was wondering if some one could give me some tips, its only just a last minuite thing so i have not had the time to learn portugese (which i would have loved to do). No license either so car hiring is a no go area. I love nature and also cultural places, love to see old architechture pre european. I also do photography as a hobby so would like to take the travel opertunity to take photos, less interested in modern/european architecture but love old ruins and ancient historical places. i hope some one can help. Hi, Sail,
sure, we´ll be glad to help you! (I am sure Carmen Busko - if in São Paulo by he time you arrive - will be glad too! Unfortunately I am working today, and not sure i´ll be able to send you helpful links. just give me some time, ok? I would suggest you to browse in the galleries related to São Paulo (including Paranapiacaba and Embu das Artes) so that you´ll be more acquainted with the places we may visit. Cheers, Isabel |

Hi, Sahil,
If I am not mistaken, there is a KLM flight from Amsterdam to SP and it´s cheaper than other companies. It arrives here by the end of the day. (If you do so, I could pick you up at the airport, don´t worry). As for 'ruins', please bear in mind Brasil is only 500 years old, which means that there may be a difference for what you (europeans) would consider ruins and what we (brazilians) would consider ruins. As for car hirings, no pb, we can use public transportantion to stroll around in the city. (I myself do not have a car). The films you mention in another thread... i must check... that´s it for now. I´ll be back to you later ;) Cheers Isabel |

Hiya isabel! thank you for replying and guiding me :) , when i said ruins i just wondered if their were in old stone buildings similar to the ones in Peru. The flight is no problem it is traveling within such a large country. My plans are to leave from Brazil on the 16th and come back on the 28 so almost two weeks, we would land in Rio, spend some time their and then Sao Paulo as i have few contacts i would like to see. Is it expensive to travel by coach in Brazil? I want to see the Foz do Iguaçu (Iguaçu Falls) if possible or atleast some nature i just think for me it would be a shame if i came all the way to Brazil and did not see any natural beauty or photographed it. I have a friend coming now also :) so that is one relief.
I cannot remember the films i mentioned what thread? i plan to bring a big pack of Velvia 50 and take some photos on my cheap russian camera if its sunny enough :). Speak to you in a week :) Sahil |
