Great Leilani 2008-02-12 14:13

Hi Marc - Welcome back to upload land ;-) What a beautiful building! Who cares if it has been taken many times? The challenge is to come up with a better one than the others... or a different pov! I like this pov with the lines of snow at the bottom. Who needs car trails, when you can have snow trail? ;-) I like the movement of the people. The colours give a pleasing purple tone to the snow. This was hand held?

Default To Leilani: unfortunately

Hello Leilani,
yes, it was handheld...I was so lazy! I had brought my tripod but I was too lazy to place it. Too many people, not enough space. It would have been hard. Now I regret because I had to crank up the iso and had a hard time finding a shot that's not too blurry...
This castle is in fact a hotel which is overlooking Ste-Lawrence River over a cape: http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/North_America/Canada/Central/Quebec/Quebec/photo831124.htm

Thanks for stopping by!

I should be writing an essay but instead I am here on TE :D Getting inspiration of course!

You should try a Joby tripod. I keep one in my bag as they're quite useful! I think you've done well here with no tripod to be honest. Rgds, Leilani
