New Full Size Panorama Feature Available

This new feature is to address the issue of the 800 pixel limit which makes panorama images somewhat difficult to view.

To upload a larger sized panoramic photo there will be a 'Large Post' link next to all panoramic images in one's Manage section which are greater than a 2.5::1 ratio. Keep in mind that the limit is 400 kilobytes and may be no larger than 4000 pixels. The longest side must also be greater than 800 pixels. Only logged-in members may view these larger sized panoramic photos.

If anyone encounters problems or has suggestions on how this feature may be improved, please let me know. Thanks!

Adam, that's excellent. It is very important to go the flow and right now the flow says YES to real panoramas! (2000px+)

Yes, but only for those panos with an aspect ratio greater than 2.5.

I am not allowed to upload any image larger than 800px, and there is no prior button for "Large Post"...

I tried your guidelines and I got this message...
"Maximum length of photo may not exceed 800 pixels.
Please resize your photo, apply necessary sharpening, and then upload to TrekEarth."

So, Adam, what did I do wrong?

First upload the panoramic image with at least a 2.5::1 aspect ratio, (800 pixels or less), and then click the 'Large Post' link under the Options column for that photo to upload the large-sized image.

2. will it be possible to see the smaller version too?
3. did anyone used this feature already, and can write a link? I'm courious to see how does it come out.

No, it's separate.
