Great kensimage 2006-06-23 19:40

You could have fooled me, they sure look like women. Sounds like they're treated pretty cruelly. At least they are able to laugh among themselves, and look clean. It's nice that you're able to bring a little of their world to us.

Is the color slightly off here? It looks like a little too much maroon in the skin tones.

Regards, Ken.

Default To kensimage: Skin tones

I thought skin colors were to the point here,
I work on TFT and CRT just to make sure, certainly on skin color,
the left has the most natural tone of a dark Tamil with a tiny bluish undertone, the right has a lighter skin and some colorreflection could influence maybe but they are rather natural to me ...
of course every screen has its own differant color properties, it took me a month to balance colors of the TFT/CRT and TFT still has a yellow undertone like most TFT have and a CRT works with a lamp that will always tend towards more red .....
not easy colorbalancing a screen and they change still by warming up.

Probably you're right--I was viewing the image on my monitor at work, which is not calibrated. Usually it looks OK, but its noncalibrated may show up much more with certain tones or combinations of tones.

Hi Ken
at work, you should work, no ? :))
You can always try to ask your boss to replace to a better calibrated screen explaining that TE doesn't show properly .... :))) !!
Make him first member to TE, he will understand then ... :)).

I don't have a boss--I'm a professor! As long as I produce research deemed of value, and teach well, no one cares if I spent half my day on TE. Of course that leaves aside the question of how one could do the research and teaching if half the day were spent on TE, so it's basically hypothetical. Regards, Ken.
