Hi Ryan,
I've seen a few shots from this location, but yours stands out from the rest thanks to the stronger contrast. Giving the water an almost metalic sheen to it.
I'm guessing this was done in post production with the burn tool? I've been playing around recently with some of the settings in my 5D, and one of them lets you adjust the contrast in the camera itself... kind of fun to play around with.
Nice one Ryan, keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the nice critique's you wrote for all my photos. I really appreciate the kind words. In answer to your guess about using the burn tool to create that effect on the water, well, you’re not the first one to think that, but you are wrong. The darker spots are simply caused by clouds, the weather was pretty gnarly, but I can totally see how you could mistake it for some post processing. I was pretty lucky with the weather, and the lighting that day. I think I'll update my note explaining what PP I did do. Thanks again, Ryan. |
