Good RGatward 2004-06-08 5:24

Mmmm. I think I find that both the flags and people are clipped in this one just a bit too irritating. Why not a portrait format for this one?

Default To RGatward: Clipping

Hi Richard, I was mainly going after a perspective of the side facades, people being a detail in the way I've seen it. Didn't want the sky in the photo so I had to clip the flags on the top (the sky is 1cm above the flags, but that doesn't irritate me so much).

Let's say I had to make a choice taking the picture, and crop a little bit to adjust perspective, and I tried to reach somehting that would satisfy me overall. Matter of taste but, I agree with, technically far from being perfect.

Yes fair points. I tend to be less forgiving with some TE members, with very high standards. Maybe too critical.

Richard, we can't ever, ever, be too critical when we're simply being honest. Having the possibility to express our opinion freely is a precious gift, which is not given to many people on Earth.

Writing a critique is not a matter of sympathy, although it is sometimes only a way of saying "hi, good morning, how are you?", but that's nothing to be ashamed of. We are only humans and it's nice to know that not everyone is anonymous.

I definitely prefer that you cry out loud each time you'll find that one of my photos is not ok, technically or according to your taste.

Thank you for your words. Have a good evening.
