Default trouble with uploading

hey people, is it just me or the website? two out of three times when I try to upload a photo "page cannot be found" so I get frustrated, wait for next time and forget all about the photo later on :(

this applies to both dial-up and high speed office connection

and yes, i check the size requirements and all before uploading.

Dear all,

i don't know what to try... the problem that i had in the beginning of my membership persists. But now it is getting worse, nineteen out of twenty times i try to upload a photo i get " the page cannot be displayed"... well i know my photos may not be worthy uploading but i wanted to leave it to the members to decide not to the technology!!!

i have tried high-speed and dial-up connections, different times of the day and week... same laptop. Do i have some cookie or what on my laptop that interrupts the process??

i should mention that i do not have such problem with other sites where i upload photos.

help!!!!

Olga

Is it any photo, or a particular one? Can you email me the photo you attempt to upload? The address is listed at the bottom of the faq.

Also, when does the message appear? Is it immediate, or after a few minutes? What browser/version are you using? Thanks.

Default Re: different photos!

thanks for your reply, Adam, i have just found it. the problem relates to ANY photo i am trying to upload, not the same one. the message appears almost immediately after i hit the Upload button - when i am on fast connection - or several seconds later when i am on dial up connection.

when i am desperate i will email you the photo as you suggested... when i get a photo that i think i MUST post here or die :))

Not to start a flame war, but did you try Mozilla (or Firefox, or Opera)? Try a different web browser and see if the problem still occurs. If it doesn't, then you know where to start looking. I've seen more than one computer with "internet" problems, yet when I install and test with Mozilla, the computer works just fine.

Have to agree with Robert, Internet Explorer is a huge security breach by itself. It won't arm your system to install Opera, Mozilla or Firefox (I have all 3 installed in my PC, never use IE). You might even find those browser better and faster than IE.
