There is a dutch schooner that often comes in the summer in Normandy, and she is called Jantje. Is that name from the same origin?
I like the night atmosphere very much here. I can see all the details and I like the colors on the crane. Robert's WS is interesting but it totally changes the mood of the picture.
Your night hunts are giving really interesting results, with pictures really different from one another.

Default To SophieL: Jantje

Hi Sophie, I have no idea about the origin of the name 'Jantje' or 'Jansje'. The name Jan is supposed to be a boy's name, but an oldfashioned name for girls can be JanTJE, where 'je' or 'tje' is the diminutive.
Thanks for passing by.
Rinie
