Default So...

Here we are again!
Sorry, Mario, but your comments contradict themselves. Why bother showing the intricate diversity and complexity of TE's contributions (if this is really the main goal of the project) is the book won't circulate beyond your own bookshelves and, possibly, the coffee tables of selected friends and relatives?
Satisfying all extremes, people keen on portraits, others dead set on exotic locations, fanatics of postcard-like pictures, those interested by incongrous scenes per se, adepts of massive post-processing and so on, to name but a few, should be quite tricky. Especially with a selection system based on the votes of the "whole" community...

Default It is very interesting to read you

guys, and every posting is a pleasure and a challenge

But I kindly ask you to keep the thread focused, this one is for a specific target,

So, by keeping the focus we would benefit more.

Thanks for your understanding!

well, Cesar is right, we should not loose the focus on the main purpose... however you'r wrong here Dom.

You've linked to a threat where the word "Vanity" is written, and believe me "vanity" has nothing to do with me ;)

If you found any contraticting thing in my words it must be some EN misunderstation... i think (THINK) i know very well what i want in here... i don't know yet how to achieve it... that why we are all brainstorming, right?

Will you brainstorm with us? it's not enough to throw out the problems... throw out the solutions also

Kick the can with me friend

but I mostly feel the desire and potential source of satisfaction to get one's name in it, as if this would somehow legimimate the hours spent behind a camera viewfinder and in front of a computer screen...

Who are you Dom. to know all the answers?

So far incredible few TE members has at all responded to this idea, and I ask you again: Who are you to know what motivation these few have? Are you so good that you also think out what those not participating yet is thinking too?

hmm....

Name: Morgan Faulkner

Profession/Experience: I have five years experience in the bookselling industry, currently working with Borders. I am also a student of photography at Brighton University. I also have experience of graphic design and layout (producing flyers and posters for events).

Time available: I can create enough time to acheive any task that I would need to complete.

Software tools available: Photoshop CSII, Quark 6, plus all the usual stuff.

I should add that at university I have access to a range of professional facilities (like a drum scanner and other stuff I probably don't even know about yet). Unfortunately I can't currently get acess to them as it's summer holidays, but I can get back in late september. I can find out what facilities there are that may be useful also. I posted previously (http://www.trekearth.com/read.php?f=10&t=110434&m=168165) with my own current action plan (this would pertain to the 'Big Project').

Wow !!

A lot of evolutions in this project since the last time I visited
!! I'm almost lost in all those threads, but I think it was a very good idea to start things, it may involve
more easily some shy members. I'm particularly thinking about the
themes. So, I'm enthusiastic too for being part in this project,
let's put some data:

Youssef Chraibi
Student, Electrical Engineering, so no really special capacities
Photoshop, Broadband connection.
Time available: yes, some (depending on my other big project of the moment: searching for a job :o))
Motivated, for sure, I'd like to join and give a hand, as much as I really can.

Y.
