Great tyro 2012-08-20 14:15

Hello Les,

This is a lovely shot, well composed and with lovely vibrant colours. Your long exposure (15 seconds) has really done a marvellous job in smoothing the water to good effect but I'm not entirely sure how you have managed that on what looks like a bright and sunny day. I would hazard a guess and say that you probably used a powerful ND filter - perhaps a 10 stop one - is that right? Otherwise I don't see how you could have taken this without one.

Beautiful!

Kind Regards,

John.

Wink To tyro: River Tavy at Denham

Hello John, thanks for your kind critique, you are of course quite right,I have been experimenting with one of these new fangled 10 stop filters,to be honest I`m still very much on a learning curve, this was the second time out and as you can imagine it does take a bit of getting used to,still it is a bit different,I`ll keep you posted.
Best regards Les
