Hello Bev,
An interesting note about "hucka" but not for me the first thing that comes to mind when I see this winch. For me, I'd dream of tackling it with a tin of releasing oil, some grease, a wire brush and some oversize spanners to see if I could get it into working order!
But this winch certainly makes a statement - whatever that may be - in front of that rather interesting Art Deco building behind - is that a hotel?
Lovely lighting and colours, excellent depth of field, spot-on exposure and excellent detail and sharpness.
And, like yourself, I think this picture has more impact than your workshop one, fine though it also is.
Lovely!
Kind Regards,
John.

![]() Maybe the hucka is just a woman thing!!! You're right about the building; it is very art deco. It certainly wouldn't look out of place in a Poirot investigation. Although it looks very spacious, I don't recall it being a hotel; I'm pretty sure that it was just a private residence. From this side, it looks fine because of the curves ;from the beach side it looks like a monstrosity, very sttraight sided and angular, like a huge packing case.![]() Cheerio, Bev :-) |
