Great sackbut 2007-01-12 7:19

Andy, nice composition. Its amazing how difficult it is to decide when the horizon is straight, isnt it? I see you had a choice - include the view of the canal disappearing to the vanishing point on the horizon, or go for the full reflection on the mill in the water. It would be interesting to compare the two aspect ratios.

I have to say that a ND2 or 4 might have been a better choice, the sky looks over attenuated. I notice you use Cokin ND filters. Some complain that these introduce a slight cyan colouration to the picture. Have you noticed that?

Default To sackbut: Cokin filters

Hi
I have 2 Cokinn Grey Grads, an ND2 and an ND8. To be honest I couldn't really remember which one I used when I posted this, but because of the exaggerated effect, I thought it must have been the ND8. I don't think the ND2 would have been dark enough. Maybe I need to get another filter :)
I haven't noticed any problems with colour casts. I always shoot RAW anyway so colour imbalance is not a problem for me.
Thanks for the critique.
Andy
