I've been to Rome quite often - the best thing would go from Main Station (you'll get there most likely with a bus from the airport) towards the colloseum and all the surroundings, and then head towards the vatican. Some walking to be done, but worth it!

Walk around the San Lorenzo district. This studenty district, just to the south-east of Stazione Termini is Rome at its most alternative. Packed with cheap eateries, lefty-leaning bars and boutique shops, itís a welcome break from the touristy centre. Plus, itís the home of the best chocolate in Rome.
Let the journey begin!

If you're a gamer and love Assassin's Creed, Rome is a nostalgic awesomeness around every corner. Try Piazza Navona. St. Peter's Square. The Colosseum, the Pantheon & the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, you're in foe a visual treat..

Where do you start? Rome is chalk full of awesome things to do. Besides the sights like Pantheon, Colosseum and the numerous piazzas, I would certainly need to recommend:

San Crispino - amazing gelato shop with unique flavors (eg Honey Ginger Cinnamon). It's near the Trevi Fountain

Cacio e Pepe - off via avezzana, for some authentic Roman pasta. Try their namesake dish Cacio e pepe (cheese/pepper pasta)

Colosseum is the place i would suggest you to go through because usually if we see how getting a way out of it helps is quite certain to us and also these places provide us many things as travelers.

Rome is a popular destination around the globe and offers a lot of points of interest to its visitors. I have visited there once before my niagara falls boat tour and I will like to share some names of attractions in Rome. Here these are
Trevi Fountain,
Piazza Navona,
Palatine Hill,
Sistine Chapel,
Basilica of San Clemente,
Archbasilica of St. John Lateran.
I hope that all these recommended names will prove helpful for all those travelers who are making a plan to visit there.
