I've done a little research and I think that this is what is called an "Array mbira", made in America as a more sophisticated version of an original African lamellaphone. You can read about it and also see a picture (not unlike the one in your photograph) here!
This is lovely photograph, very well "focused in" and closely cropped to allow us to see the instrument and the player's hands perfectly. We can also see the musician's face and there is a strong compositional line between his eyes and the "prongs" of the instrument and his playing hands.
Lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and excellent depth of field and sharpness.
