Hi Craig, Funny note, I love to read your stories, i try i magine the situaltion. Went you there specially at 4:30 am, blue hour time, with the 3pod to make this shot? The clerk thougt you were crazy for sure. The photo like from movie, the Sting, perhaps. Fantastic mysterious atmosphere. Is this the poorest area in all North America?? So you haven't seen the poor area!

yes, this is actually the poorest neighborhood in all of North AMerica. hard to believe, but its true. how do they determine that? well, as you know, each city has a postal code (v4n6j7) or in the USA each city has a ZipCode (90210)...it identifies the city boundaries. stats are collected year in and year out, and every year for a number of years now, this "Postal Code" in vancouver has the lowest income of all the other cities. along with the lowest income, there's homelessness, drugs, crime, prostitution.....what else!? it 'wins' top prize in all categories! hard to believe it, but its true. and its only a couple city blocks from where i take most of my Vancouver photos! enjoy your day craig

Yes, probably you are right with statsitics in Vancouver or Canada, or north America. But I saw poor districts in India, Peru, Egypt.. Guatemala or gypsy "towns" in Slovakia. it is something else.
Only ten days, tick, tick, Serghei has got his Visa, he comes on 22nd.
