Hello Martin,
I love your note. But here's another fantastic word to add to your vocabulary: Stravaig - it can be a noun or a verb and is an old Scots word for a "wander" or an unhurried "meander" - you can actually stravaig, or you can go for a quiet stravaig along country lanes or through hills or whatever. A nice word.
Now, one of the fearures which people who talk in depth about composition go wild about is "triangles" and I think there's triangles aplenty here to satisfy anyone of that bent. Triangles everywhere you look - from the little cones to the structure of the bridge and even the composition with the edges of the roadway appearing from both bottom corners.
Lovely colours, perfect exposure and, as always, exquisite sharpness.
I love your workshop picture too but, like yourself, am unsure which I prefer - they're both excellent.

To tyro: stravaig
Stravaig I love it ! Now all I have to do is remember it. Usage and repetition is the way. Now, does it fully conjugate ? I stravaiged ? I was stravaiging ? Indeed, can you become a stravaiger, or do the ( Norse ? ) roots require different rules ?
