Great SnapRJW 2012-05-09 7:12

Hi Lisa - The Silver Efex has given a fine tonal range in this B&W conversion. Is it tricky to get to grips with? The sweeping colonnade makes a fantastic lynch-pin in the image, everything else falls into place around its magnificence. Strong and beautiful composition. Warm regards rosemary

Smile To SnapRJW: Silver Efex

Ciao Rosemary

Thanks for your nice words here.

As a computer moron, I can honestly say that the Silver Efex and the Color Efex are extremely user-friendly. They are brilliant plug-ins for Photoshop, although the Color Efex is not compatible if you are running Photoshop in 64-bit. It will attach to the 32-bit version.

The thing I like most about the Silver Efex is the amazing control you have over all sorts of elements imaginable - particularly the dynamic range of the photo. You even have a choice of film types (Ilford, Agfa, Fuji and Kodak) if you want to give it the film effect.

Thanks again, have a lovely day.

Warm regards
Lisa
