Great Vato_Law 2012-04-24 2:45

Hello Brian,

very beautiful view on this color contrasted photo. The red rock cliff really stands out here in opposition to the blue sky, while the "little" umbrellas spreads out thru the tiny beach bellow.

I'm curious about one thing, is it possible to stand there on high tide? as it seems that the beach is very tiny and when the tide rises that doesn't seem to be so much space between the cliff and water...

Cheers.
Paulo

Default To Vato_Law: The Tide

Hi Paulo

thanks for your kind words, always appreciated.

This beach is accessed by climbing over the rocks that you can see on the right hand side. It is a long and very difficult climb too, and not one for the elderly or faint-hearted.

Although Santorini is in the Aegean Sea it is still part of the Mediterranean and therefore not tidal. So the comings and goings of the water is negligible unless the weather conditions are affecting the sea.

Thanks again.

Brian.
