Why is TE loosing members ?

Interesting discussion and what i like here, it is possible to discuss things peacefully. I agree with pPaulo and Pascale - we are here here for entertainment, for fun first of all. I know many sites with photos - sometimes with better photos, with or without rules. I am or tried to be active on some of them, but I like TE most because of these interactions and making friends. And I think that the main reason the people leave the site, loudly or in quiet, it is they find here no more fun as it used to be.
How to encourage the new member and not to discourage the older ones? it is our small world but like in the big ones, we have babies and elderly. We need all of them. Newbies give us something fresh, older have experience and better skill. Both sides can learn and teach something. Everyone of us seniors remembers how difficult it was at the beginning. We all made a long way. But when someone new has something interesting to tell through camera and notes and comments, soon will be a member of our community. if he/she must learn a lot, but wants to participate, it may last a bit longer but it will be success. But everyone must take an effort and participate.
Concerning new members, It is something that is amazing for me. I would like to know an answer but probably you do not know it either. Look at random at the page with new members. I took the page 37 at the moment. There is list of 30 new members. They registered on 24 October 2011, almost three months ago. From all these persons, one posted 12 photos and wrote one critique. All other people posted and critiqued nothing. Why they register? They can look at the photo without it. Page 57 - four months ago, only two persons with some activity. Page 100, end of July, almost half a year - one person with 17 points, and one with 14. All other have zero. I took these pages at random! Have you any ideas? So I rather critique the photos of someone who have done something already.
The idea of anonymous photos or critiques is appealing, maybe it would be more objective appreciation of the photos, but can they be really anonymous? very often we do not need signature, we recognize the style without it.
I confess that maybe I use too often the words magnificent, great, wonderful, ... I have no knowledge about photography, I can only say I like the photo or not. Besides, the people can be very lightly offended. I remember that I criticized something (very lightly!) and the people whom I regarded as friends took revenge on me later. It is stupid, as we learn most by such critiques, I can be a bit angry at first moment but after a while I am very grateful for honest opinion.
