Great Clairedelune 2009-08-11 10:18

Battousai? The "Battousai" that I used to know in TE long time ago? :)))
Well... I'm not around myself most of the time, but a great pleasure to see that you are still alive!
Surely not your greatest photo, but I like the moment. It reminds me the time I used to smoke and drink (a long, long time ago! ;)). Somehow, I wish the glass was not there. It seems that it is there for no reason whatsoever. At least, if she was holding the glass with her left hand, or something, but now, it is more a hindrance than anything. Well, that being said, I like the pose she has. Cigarettes are so "likable" when you're young and beautiful... ;)
Not too sure about the second girl. I wish she would have some kind of link with the first woman, if she was looking at her for example. It will reinforce the story. Right now, I don't really know what to make of her, if you see what I mean.
Gosh... I lost the touch with how to make a critique! Help! :)
Have fun Pawel!

Default To Clairedelune: :)

Hey Claire,

Yes it's me :) I haven't been on TE for a really long time... you know, staying
on flickr mostly.

It's just a candid shot, I was at a party yesterday and took a few shots.
Was amazed how well D700 performs in high ISO.

You're right, it would be much better if the second girl looked at the first one.
Well... sometimes you can't have everything ;)

Best,

Pawel

"Was amazed how well D700 performs in high ISO."

:(( Don't tell me that! I love to shoot in low light and my camera is having a hard time to deal with that. And buying the 5DII or going to Nikon D700 is way too pricey right now for me. But, it's nice that you can play with it!

:)) Yes, dear! Just command them! ;)

I had forgotten that you were on Flickr. I'll try to have a look at your gallery there.

Lols!!! Dear Pawel, you've been away for too long. It has been that way almost since the beginning of TE. I think you could post two or three at the very beginning in 2002, but came to just one a very long time ago! :))

Yeah, I'm on flickr all the time.

Had a break from photography and most of the stuff I do nowadays is traditional B&W, including medium format, that's why I'm not posting that often.

Take care tight,

Best,

Pawel
