Smile To unclehotshot: Critique

Your critique is interesting. I am trying to achieve a painting type of look, but I can try reworking it with a softer touch to see how it looks.

Smile Picture size

I finally came up with a scheme that works for me in Photoshop. Size to 800 pixels, DPI to 72 then save as jpeg and adjust to get size under 300k. Thanks for the suggestion

Sizeing picture

I am looking for a good strategy to reduce images to TrekEarth requirements. I am having difficulty adjusting both pixel size and 300k bits. Any suggestions for a workflow plan.

To stevesieren: Direction

On second thought, I am not sure which direction I was facing. I guess I will have to make another trip to resolve the mystery. Any excuse to visit the area.

To stevesieren: Aperature

You are right, a smaller aperture would allow me to keep the both the fence and mountains in focus. As I recall, the view is to the west. I also enjoy 395. If only I had more time to explore the...

Good thought. Now that I looked at the photo a second time, your idea might work better. I will try not using autofocus next time.
Thanks, Bernie

What is the procedure for uploading pictures. The program seems to have changed from previous use. I can't annotate the picture and when uploading, the file does not make. Any suggestions?

Image Size

My standard image is 8X10 at 240 dpi. Any suggestions as how to reduce the image to prep it for uploading which I understand is a 200k file?
