To Emile: Just resting

Hi Emile, Thanks for your comment. I haven't left TE but marriage and twins are now taking a priority. I still take a peek at TE every now and again and I hope that when life settles down I can be...

To cfreire: Reflections

Hello Consuelo, thanks for your critique. The people you can see are not real - they are reflections in the glass!

To JPlumb: No tripod

Hi John, and thanks for your comment. I was able to find a bollard to sit the camera on and then let go. I used the self timer so I didn't jolt the camera while pressing the shutter release.

To banyanman: A real photo!

Hi David, and thanks for your critique.

This is definitely real photo. Yes, I did use some PP to enhance colour and saturation a little but there's nothing that would break the TE rules!

Hello Kazi, thanks for your detailed critique. It is rare for someone to devote this much time to a comment and I appreciate it. It certainly presents a different viewpoint. One thing I will say...

To rosaline: Ugly building?

Hello Aubrey, yes in close quarters and harsh light the building is not particularly attractive. There is too much bare concrete for it to be beautiful. Yet I think the unusual design is still...

Hello Stefania,

LV is used for panoramic photos only. If you post a pic that has a width/height ratio of more than 2.5:1 then the option to post a large version is enabled.

It's just before sunset. I'll update my note to make this clear.

To rosaline: 28 hours...

It's a bit of a good news, bad news story...

Good news: The boat is a good way to see the scenery of Bangladesh.
Bad News: It takes 28 hours.
Good News: We had a cabin.
Bad News: It was...

I'm not sure what you meant by "what happened with the previous image?" What have I done???

Somehow I seem to have seriously botched up the link but look up my travalogue for Afghanistan and you'll find some more info there.

Re: To PJE: Tilt

Hi Paul, thanks for your workshop - it does seem to level the base a bit better and correct for some distortion in the image. But if you want to get things perfectly straight I think you need to...

To PJE: Tilt

Hello Paul, I was wondering if there is a tilt but like you I can't decide. The lines of the building and the step in front are not straight so it is difficult to tell.

Thanks for your critique....

To capthaddock: No desaturation

Hello Tan,

It's a while since I processed this one but I'm sure I didn't desaturate any of the image. It's a plain stone floor hence the lack of colour. I probably bumped up the contrast a...

To sarju: D200
