To saxo042: tack

Hej och tack,
Jag flyger till Wien på måndag men kommer hem igen redan på fredagen. Det är rätt trevligt med korta men intensiva storstadsbesök. Där verkar finnas massvis med väldigt bra...

And now, only a short while later, I see a vertical thumbnail of the sloping wall, but when I click on it I get a horizontal version of the same view. The straight wall with two bright windows is...

Hi Frank,
Today on the thumbnail I see a sloping facade seen from below, with a lot of blue sky surrounding it. When I open the picture there is a very straight facade with two bright windows, no...

To kasianowak: language

Thank you Kasia,
Sadly, I will have to spend the rest of my life without knowing what those leaflets were about.
As for the Nordic languages Swedes, Norwegians and Danes can easily read...

To tyro: L

Thank you John for your kind comments,
I am glad you noticed the strange shadow of the L. It shows that you looked carefully. I am also very puzzled by that "drunken angle". Maybe there has been...

madras-chennai

Hello Stephen,
If you and Malgo allow me to break into your conversation, I would recommend Madras, nowadays known as Chennai. It's a big and colourful city, maybe not with as many interesting...

To GyurMaster: retouching

Thank you György,
You are perfectly entitled to any kind of criticism. That is what this site is for. You are right - and you are wrong. I did remove part of another boy on the right side who...

To willperrett: geometry

Thanks Will,
Czech geometry is well known for its odd features :-).
Best regards,
Gert
PS Isn't Trafalgar Square actually rather unevenly shaped?

To boa: fika

Hej och tack,
Jag tar självklart gärna en fika. Jag är i Wien några dagar medan du förmodligen fortfarande är i Kaukasien, men från vecka 38 är jag hemma ett tag före nästa resa. Här gärna av dig....

Hello,
Thank you for your kind words. I like this photo too, but I don't like the scanning and PP I did several years ago. I could easily have made it so much better now.
Best regards,
Gert

Thank you Jasmine once again for your kind comments and waste of green smileys. This photo of the small Thai girl at sunset is among my personal favorites.

Thanks Craig,
Me neither.... doing that trick.
As for the angle I always try to find the best one (and surprisingly often I get a feeling I chose a better POV than others nearby...)

To marabu61: holi

Thanks you Daniel,
It certainly looks very much like Holi, but I didn't find a clear reference to the Indian festival. Would an average American company have such cultural knowledge? ;-)
Cheers,...

To Royaldevon: circles

Thank you Bev,
You are right about the ground circles. I probably didn't even see them when I took the photo, but they became important during PP. By cropping a bit at the top I tried to place them...

Thank you Kasia,
I may have a reasonably graphic photo from Rzeszów coming up soon, but most of my photos are really rather banal and colorful ;-).
By the way: Today I saw the documentary "The salt...

To saxo042: kap
