To nikkitta: Well, yes

Hi Maria,
Istiklal Avenue, from where I shot this is on a hilltop. So, the church is below the avenue level but is not below the level of the side street leading to the avenue.
Cheers,

Hi Ike,
You don't need to apologize. That is what I do when I do not like the last photo posted by a member, I go to find one that I like. You are probably detecting the pseudo-HDR post-processing...

To emka: Well,

Although English is not like German or French in that most inanimate objects are referred to by the neutral personal pronoun it, ships are an exception, they are referred to as she. So I thought...

Yes,
I think I blew it off a bit by increasing saturation. (And frankly, I was too hurried to start over again.)
Thnx,

Hi Chris & Pierre,
I would avoid using a flash altogether.
Just my 2 cents,

To jmdias: the flag

Hi Jorge,
The American flag marks where the US immigration and customs area is located. That way, flights originating from that airport can land in domestic terminals in the US.

To jcpix: Irony

Isn't it ironic that, of all possible flags, I find an American flag in a Canadian airport?

To jadesgran: Better yet,

Hi Gladys,
Better yet, it was taken from inside a snug car with the thermostat for the automatic climate control set at 70° F (≈ 20° C) all the year 'round! (Yes, I love my little Prius C!) ...

With all due respect, when you are at that place, there is nothing to daydream about, Ike. When you are stuck at subfreezing temperatures then you daydream about Coco Beach.;)
