The colors are unchanged, only very lightly enhanced. I don't know why they are so grey, but it gors well with the blue, I think.

thank you for your comment and suggestion! I did consider cropping either the left or the right part but couldn't make up my mind on what to sacrifice. I wanted both the orange bits and the grey triangle of the quay so I kept the original frame:) I perfectly understand what you mean, though.

The haze at the top of the frame was mist rolling in (no Paul McCartney references please!) and it was grey. All I did to this in terms of post processing was move the clarity slider up by about ten points and it turned the mist into that pleasing slate grey tone which I liked so I left it as was.

As for Lovers Rock - not the Paladins, Clash (check our Horace Andy to find some of their reggae roots), or Gregory Isaacs - I am a fan of all but in this case I was thinking of the whole reggae genre of lovers rock.

I have loads of reggae in my collection but I like old school reggae, lovers rock being one sub-genre. Into dub and ska too. If my blood stream consists of rock music then reggae and early blues are my drugs of choice most days - inhale deeply... jah sees, jah knows... ;)

This is actually my second attempt, the first left a little kick in the far sea wall, and I thought this one better, until I just noticed the bulge in the channel wall, just right of the white banner. But it is not very obvious.

Sadly also, TE fault or no, the image now appears rather over sharpened, tell tale halos, not that I can see that on my unposted image. Still, it is working hard to stretch 4000 pixels so far, with only 400kb in support.

Lastly, I can't even claim much credit for the note, bar for finding it. Though yes, it is succinctly interesting, is it not ? ( There was a piece about Aberdeen on the radio just now, about the continuing opportunities up there in off shore oil and gas, and the shortage of skilled staff... )

There is a Water Colour Sketch hanging in the church, giving an impression of what it looked like.
It must have been quite impressive, there are only two other churches in Denmark with the remains of Romanesque Frescoes.
Its a very special space, one can feel the history some how.

Yes, I dare say we will be in Poland in August, though probably no further than Krakow - Przemysl corridor. The family for a few weeks, me, probably just one.
Last time I was in K, indeed only time I was there, computer malfunction and operator incompetence meant I lost ALL our images of Krakow, Oswiecim, Wieliczka salt mine -gone. So maybe we will try to revisit, dont know yet. Second impressions are never quite so good as the first though.
