Many of us are all up for learning about the world. But how well do you know it???
I found this game that tests your knowledge of different countries.
Give it a shot and see what your travel IQ is!

Thanks for the link Blair.

Great fun and the last thing I've done before I'm off. Flying to good ol' BKK tomorrow morning...
Happy with 122, hurray for Brunei, damn the islands!

thanks for the link
pretty hard game...many places never heard of :S
07-05-2008, 03:34 PM
Very hard. The map is too small.
07-05-2008, 06:21 PM
What! Am I the only one who can't past 100??????
07-05-2008, 11:29 PM
Two attempts: 126, 134. And I agree with Antonio: the map is too small, so in small countries it doesn't really matter if you know the exact location of the place.

Join the club, Blair...
Just join the club...!
Just because I mixed New Delhi with New York and Austria with Australia ...
Biiiig deal !!!!
It can happen to anybody...Right ?
But, I want the peace in the world, I love children, I don't watch TV and I use Neat Image to my photos...
What... It doesn't count...?
Geez... What a weird game...!!!

Very addictive game. I've had 3 goes so far and haven't quite made it to the final stages. That said, I've had 113, 119 and 124.
I keep mixing up Peru and Chile and I am shockingly ignorant of where many of the Pacific islands are (all the more reason to do a scuba diving holiday to French Polynesia?) and where the former Soviet republics like Belarus and Azerbaijan are.
Anyway, thanks for the link.

Yes, it's addictive. Two more tries, 134 each. But in addition to the general game, there are more interesting options there in the menu, like "Photos of the World" (probably best with TE members) and regions (like Europe, etc.), which become more fun / more difficult in the late stages, because they don't tell you the country, just the name of the place...

Finally I got past 100!
Glad you're all enjoying it!
Russian cities got me though
07-06-2008, 06:27 PM
I got 124.
I wasn't allowed to proceed past the 11th stage. Is that like being held back a grade in school? Will they send my report card to my mother? Will she want to have a "little talk" with me? I promise I'll study more next time, I promise!

Why not 125, Ken ?
Getting lazy, eh ?
And, for the hundreth time... It's not Leningrad any more... Not LENINGRAD, on Vladimir's bold head !!!
07-09-2008, 01:59 PM
George, please tell me you were joking about 42...
07-09-2008, 02:23 PM
Oooooo... But of course, Steve...!
I was lying…
I actually got only 38 (I placed St. Peter's Square in St. Petersburg ), and I tried desperately to save my face...
I know it is in Venice, always full of pigeons and gondoliers, but somehow I slipped…
It happens… What can I say…?
Oh, well... Nothing can be hidden in front of your eyes, guys… I guess…
Have a wonderful day, folks…
