Min shutter is 15 sec so its mean that you can take pictures with exposure longer than 15 secs.
Its probable becouse of noise which is problem with long times.

not "you can"
but "you cant"
so YOU CANT take exposure longer than 15secs.
I forgot one letter.
sorry

With all digital cameras the best way to get a long exposure is to take a sequence of shorter exposure pictures then blend them together in photoshop. So, even if the maximum shutter duration of the G5 is 15 sec, you can take 16-20 exposures of this duration then stack them in photoshop (or other image editing program) and then blending each layer together to give the effect of a 4-5 minute exposure. You also have the advantage that the image will have much less noise in it.
