Uttarakhnd and not Uttaranchal

This is to bring to the notice of the owner that, the state in India which was previously called Uttaranchal has now been renamed as Uttarakhand. However, the old name still exists in TE. Can it be changed?

Should it ?
In North-India most don't even know Chennai but only Madras,
an Indian problem, changing names ...
both can be used or maybe best Uttarakhnd(Uttaranchal) to avoid confusion,
same for Chennai(Madras) now indicated by several avatars on TE already again :)
