Slow sink flash
Gives a ghost affect and then detail. Do not use for wildlife.
Night flash for wildlife
Set Red-eye - Set manual F8 @ 60 - 125 seconds. Shoot on spot-lighted animal or set programme mode and let camera choose.
F 2.8 Lens
Shoot F8 Aperture when shooting wildlife to get “through depth of field”. The 2.8 is too shallow.
Macro
Shoot manual @ F32 with flash set at 60 to 125 seconds. Ignore camera readings of over or under exposure.
Sunny 16 Rule
± One hour after sunrise to one hour before sunset, front-lit subjects in clear, bright sunlight, aperture F16 @ shutter speed of inverse ISO.
Does not work with sunrise & sunset.
Does not work on overcast days.
Not for back-lit or side-lit subjects.
