Take the haze our of a picture

I found a neat and simple tutorial on how to remove the haze out of a picture with Unsharp Mask, I've tried and it really works well. The URL is :

I will just add that a very similar technique is also described as Local Contrast Enhancement on luminous-landscape.com (tutorials section).

There's only one problem with that technique - if you're not careful you'll blow out the highlights... Look carefully at the brightest parts of your image before and after - because you may need to undo it, and then decrease the brightness a little first :-)
