This workshop is just an experiment, to see if I could create the atmosphere of an infra-red film in the shot.

To do this, I copied the full image so there were two layers, both the same.

In layer 1, I used the 'Channel Mixer', set to 'monochromatic', and adjusted the sliders to 0% red, 0% green, and 100% blue.

I did the same for layer 2, but with the sliders at 0% red, 100% green, 0% blue.

I then used the eraser, with a soft edged brush, set to about 60%, to wipe clear the 'green' layer, in everything except the trees at the top and left of the image.

Absulutely stunning! If it's okay, I'm going to enter a similar picture (my editing of course!) for a challenge at www.dpchallenge.com
Inspired bit of editing!

The workshop looks good. Can I suggest that you use two Channel Mixer adjustment layers, and do your erasing on the layer mask? That way it's very easy to correct any mistakes. (You paint on the layer mask with a black brush in Normal mode to erase, and paint again whith a white brush to go back to the original).

That's the method I would have used, but thanks for the tip :-)
