When it is your first weekend with your long anticipated new camera and the weather just sucks, especially after a week of good weather.
Rain, rain, go away!
"Rain, rain, go away!"
But I think you can get lots of interesting shots with the rain. Only need to be careful to protect your camera from it.

Darren - think positive. Take your new camera and a very large umbrella. There are just great black and white wet night shots out there.
Chin up old chap!

Bad luck! If it's any consolation I can share your misery, my Sigma 17-35 failed today after I'd driven a couple of hundred miles to take some shots with it. The real downer for me is that I don't instantly have the money to fix or replace it - so I'm now a landscape photographer restricted to using >50mm lenses, oh well time to exercise my ingenuity I guess! I hope tomorrow dawns bright and sunny for you :-)

Since you don't find any use to your new camera because of the rain you might give it to me! It's sunny here in Portugal...
