Which site to post on?

Hi All

I was introduced to this site last week by a friend. I joined up and have begun adding pictures from my collection. Today I was reading the forum and noticed a thread complaining about the posting of flower pictures on TrekEarth. I have begun posting some pictures of fish - taken whilst scuba diving. People have been commented and nobody yet has told me i'm on the wrong site, but should these photo's be on the TrekNature site?

Will people object to them being on this site?

Welcome on TE Sarah!

I think you work is fitting TE's aim perfectly. You let us see the marine world of different countries with their specific environnement and fauna. Great! We can learn from them...

The works which don't really ought to be posted on TE are - for exemple - the close-ups of common flowers that can be found everywhere in the world and not a specific element of a particular country.

Also your diving shots could be posted on either TrekLens or TrekNature of course, they also fit the items, but you can never post the same picture on different sites.

Hi Sarah,
well i've placed a critique in a photo of your's and i think that it fits pretty good in TE.

However this isnt's a easy question, there's a thread going on in the forum "why people post pictures of flowers in TE" (or somthing like this)... and you'll see there's lots (i mean LOTS) of different opinions.

But whatever you do, just keep posting your pictures... here, in TL or TN (or in 3 of them)

If the photographs of the fish didn't have the very informative notes included, I would have said they would fit TrekNature better than TrekEarth. With the notes I feel they are appropriate on either site.
In general terms I would suggest that subjects such as flowers, closeups, portraits for example, if not supported by explanatory notes, belong on one of the other sites.
