    Hello Wolfgang,

I am not surprised about these picture, we life in a world without real friends only the GSM.
Formerly after WAR II, we have no GSM no telephone no electricity, no bike neither car, everything on foot, we are never come to late, but we had friends and spoke with each other, and make everyday pleasure.
But your picture is very well taken, with a high sharpness and clarity.
    Very well done,TFS.

    Have a nice day,

    Hi Noel,

As you know already, these are some of my favorite pictures in your collection...so full of interesting character(s) and tradition. You mention thee old farming techniques and animals...are we too assume that perhaps a goat or calf will be uncovered under this bale of hay, or are those two aspects not connected here?? :)

I love that you caught this at a moment of action, the slight blur of the bundle on the end of this gentlemans pitchfork really puts the scene into motion. And then of course the background, you simply couldn't ask for better context to the surroundings. I'm curious in regards to his well dressed appearance, quite a formal farmer this guy, yeah? :) Another wonderful image from the festival. Keep 'em coming! Have a great week ahead. All the best.

Cheers from hot and humid Phoenix,

    Jason

    Howdy Lisa,

Taking in so many current events, this is truly a reflective image and a well thought out dedication to those affected. Like the rays of sunlight, we can at least take in a glimpse of breaking through to better times ahead. An image full of wonderful golden tones and shades of contrast, this can easily be viewed as inspirational and a positive outlook for the future. And if nothing else, it's a helluva' sunset! :) Have a great week my friend. Take care.

    Hi Craig,

My favorite of the five as well, and this picture is a superb selling point to that notion! What an awe inspiring view from here, I only wish I had climbed to this vantage point too....but I headed the other direction towards Corniglia!?

Stayed here for two nights myself and swam in that harbour, one of the best travel memories I have. The Cinque Terre really is something special, and unquestionably beautiful!

You caught this at such a great moment, the warm sun highlighting the village with a golden touch works incredibly well with the deep blue sea. A classic and timeless view upon Vernazza, full of clarity and details. Great place to slow down and take things easy...especially for recovery on the knee....but what are you thinking hiking up here, fool!! lol

Have a good one bud. Take care.

    Cheers,

    Jason

    Hi Rosemary,

From the smaller thumbnail image I thought it was strange you would have divided the picture in two with so much negative space...but a larger, and closer look reveals the beauty of what you've composed. Brilliant! The dry, cracked earth actually provides a nice lead-in perspective, and the colorful dunes and blue sky are about the best compliment of color you could ask for here. As the saying goes, "The devil is in the details" and this is a lovely example of the simplistic beauty that lies within. enjoy the new week ahead. Take good care.

    Hi Murat,

Modern details aside, I really like what you were trying to accomplish here, and looking past those aspects, it's easy to understand and visualize the concept. In its simplicity, it's surely a picture with purpose, and I can only imagine what it must have been like to physically stand there and think back in time. The bouganvillea actually provides a nice burst of color into the scenery too. A fine view and reflective moment gathered...not to mention, an amusing title. :) Hope you're having a nice weekend. Take it easy.

A super gift to give to yourself on a birthday...and why not! :) I always try to plan something around mine as well, it's the gift that keeps giving. lol

Your short trip paid off with a wonderful image which is full of color and a sense of activity. I really enjoy the contrast between the shades of turquoise and deep blue. A beautiful church too, the architecture and detail really stands out. Wishing you a belated Happy Birthday. Take good care. All the best.

    Hi Ourania,

Glad I had to return home today for some forgotten items, I was able to see this lovely picture. :) It was the abundance of blue color that initially pulled me in, but what I've really come to enjoy about this picture is the simplicity of solitude. She may not be far from others, but there's a great sense of individuality and space with this minimal arrangement.

With nothing to distract the viewer, we can focus on the lady and her routine act of being on the phone, while still enjoying the simple surroundings. It goes without saying though, I still love the amount of blue color too. :) Isn't it interesting how the most mundane of tasks can actually produce such an appealing visual...which still takes keen recognition and an eye for composition to make it work, and you've done just that! Hope you've had a nice weekend. Take good care.

    Hola Angel,

Another charming and absolutely beautiful Alsacian town, there's no shortage of old world charm in this region. An ideal composition which infuses life into the city streets with the many tourists going about their business. Smart use of the vertical composition to pull in as much detail as possible while maintaining the quaint setting. Rich in color, detail and atmosphere. Have a wonderful week ahead. All the best.

    Bonjour Roland,

Great concept and simplicity refined in this shot. I really enjoy the many possible interpretations of this composition...it could be just about anything. There's a brushed effect with this tight cropping, almost like something straight from a painters pallet. Lovely rustic colors and a sense of texture, and abstract beauty! Bonne semaine. All the best.

    Hallo Wolfgang,

Small, but appealing...even in this ruined condition. A smart angle taken for this composition, it gives us a great sense of its actual size and dimension. Sharp in detail, you have achieved good focus throughout, and an even exposure to show the textures in detail. Once again, good things come in small packages. :) Hope you've had a nice weekend. Take care.

    Hi Way,

Well worth discoloring your pants for this fine arrangement. :) Being in the middle of the desert summer, and monsoon season, I couldn't help but search out something a lot more light and refreshing than what I'm experiencing at the moment...and this alpine field of color and Swiss charm does the trick!

Love how you've filled two thirds of the frame with the yellow dandelions, and left a touch of traditional Switzerland along the remaining top portion of the frame. What's really neat too is the small, round patch of purple flowers in the foreground. Blue, green, yellow and some whites and browns mixed in for good measure, this is a beautiful depiction of the landscape. Hope all has been going well. Take good care.

    Friendly wishes,

    Jason
