Bonjour Pierre,

I might have cropped a little more from the fg which doesn't add a lot imho. That would also make the vintage car more prominent. Good sharpness and the diffused light works well here. Excellent shadow detail and the bg people add scale. Tfs!

A fine shot of this quaint white wooden church from eastern Canada with good sharpness and excellent colour, sharpness and saturation. Nice graphism of the dark triangular steeple against the lighter cloudy sky. bon semaine!

Hi Chris,

There's a similarly posed statue within the basement of the Anzav War Memorial in central Brisbane. The armed guard in the fg adds realism and life as well as mirroring the fallen soldier. Good sharpness and punchy light contrasts with minimalist colour. Tfs!

The yellow green vegetation contrasts well against the blue sky. Good sharpness and superb reflections in the water. I like the repetition of the white buoys creating a demarcation for parking spots for the boats. Bon semaine!

A good downward pov from a superb high vantage point with excellent sharpness and the diagonal axis adds dynamism. Nice repetition of the boats and the yellow green grass sets up a nice warm cold color contrast against the blue water. Bon Diomanche!

A good daily life scene from this Gambian beach with excellent side lighting from the right and superb sharpness and colour saturation. I like the repetition of the wavy thatched huts and umbrellas along the shoreline in the bg. The red flag contrasts well against the blue banana tube boat. Tfs!

I've only been there twice. One when I was a small child and again with my young nephew and niece in the 1980's. And I live in Brisbane! Currently in Turkey. Good use of a shallow dof and excellent shadow detail. Nice reflections in both eyes of the koala. The tight framing works well. Tfs!

The yellow sections of the well framed vehicle bottom left contrast superbly against the blue tints in the snow and sky. The people add scale and context as well as a graphic element augmenting the dark rocks. Good textural details and the diffused light works well. Tfs!

This is a very well framed shot with wonderful sidelight revealing the textural and tonal variations in the wall. The peacock painting reminds me of southern Nepal villages which had similar artwork. The bike and 2 children make good counterpoint focal areas. Tfs!

A superb upward pov on the ivy clad castle with good sharpness and a nice warm cold color contrast between the blue sky and the reddish yellow facade of the imposing building. Good perspective and excellent symmetry between the 2 upper turrets. Tfs!

I managed to get to the entrance seen here but the weather was not as good as this and there was a Turk man pestering me to go in the back way. I declined of course. The American woman who was missing was found dead a few days later after she went off with a similar 'guide'. Anyway a fantastic blue sky contrasting against the yellow red domes with good sharpness. Will definitely try again next time I am in Istanbul. It was prayer time around 5 pm too so closed to visitors. Have a nice weekend!

I saw of copy of this in Las Vegas but the real thing is generally much better and certainly more authentic! A fantastic blue hour shot with good sharpness and nice streetlight reflections in the canal which adds linear perspective. The bridge is well positioned on the vanishing point. Tfs and bon weekend!

One of the few Thai towns I have not spent a lot of time in although I have passed through there by bus a couple of times. The white temple is impressive and the wide angled panoramic crop suits perfectly. Good sharpness and the golden statues and stupas contrast well against the blue sky. Tfs!

A wonderful warm cold colour contrast here between the blue sky and yellow and orange fields of plants. Not sure if they are canola, rapeseed or mustard but whatever they are they look great. Good sharpness and the road at left adds nice lead in lines and perspective. Tfs!
